window dressing

when I left school many years ago I studied to be a visual merchandiser (window dressing, calligraphy, ticket writing, & silk screen printing) it was a full time year long course which was lots of fun - imagine making art projects all day long every day...

while I went to college I worked part time in a hair salon and after I finished my certificate was offered an apprenticeship as a hair dresser - that sounded so glamourous & fun so off I went & became a hairdresser... but I always love great window displays & wonder what my life would have been like if I had followed that path...
