$300 makeover

I've been reading the NY Times daily now but possibly paying attention to the wrong parts and my eyes shift to anything to do with interiors... I'm female what can you say. So due to the rise of lay-offs here in this city, more people are spending more time at home and the question is "how do you fix up all the annoying things about your apartment on a min. budget?" and four designers took on the challenge and did so on a $300 budget.
